The first recorded mention of Grayshott was in 1185. Poet Laureate Lord Alfred Tennyson rented the house in 1867. In the early 1900’s ownership changed several times. In 1965 the house was converted into a Health & Fitness retreat. In 2005 Grayshott was purchased by Simon Lowe and an extensive refurbishment programme undertaken.

- 1085 The Parish of Headley was held by Eustace, Count of Boulogne. His granddaughter Matilda married King Stephen who gave the Manor to his brother Henry of Blois, Bishop of Winchester.
- 1185 First recorded mention of Grayshott. 'Gravesetta' in the Pipe Rolls
- 1773 The hamlet of Grayshott records 31 inhabitants
- 1867 The Poet Laureate, Lord Alfred Tennyson rented Grayshott Farm
- 1868 The house, now called Grayshott Hall a substantial stone and slate building and estate comprising 1,794 acres was bought by John Rowan Phillips
- 1882 'The picturesque, modern, small, manor' was up for sale again
- 1886 Hall was rebuilt by Joseph Whittaker's son
- 1928 Greater part of the estate sold
- 1921 The Tower was added with mottos 'Pax Intrantibus', 'Salus Exeuntibus'
- 1928 The Hall falls from prominent position in the village, changing hands several times
- 1960 Mr A.S. Stalbow acquires property to convert into Health and Fitness Retreat
- 1965 Grayshott Hall opens
- 1971 The Century Wing is added giving the hall a further 21 rooms
- 1986 Gym complex built
- 1991 Indoor Tennis Courts built and Hydrotherapy Suite added
- 2005 Grayshott Spa extensively refurbished by Simon Lowe
